Pros

Great practice for being a certified nursing assistant. Every other weekend is a three day weekend. Good place to serve those who need lifelong care. Residents are the reason one sacrifices wages and so many hours to give them stability. Good intentions.

Cons

13-14 hour shifts. Paid Time Off(PTO) could be called paper time off due to availability mostly on paper. Staff is sparse due to very low wages. New management and consistently excessively high turnover.

Pros

Working with beautiful individuals that will certainly make your heart a better place…

Cons

Management lying straight to your face, and then using your discomfort against you with other house employees. Management using you to cover shifts and telling you how wonderful you are to do so, giving you Motivosity rewards, but then taking them from you when your terminated wrongfully. It’s laughable to me now. Using the ladder hierarchy to get help. Absolutely NO ONE will return a phone call and nobody will help you. Communication is horrible. They are uninformed on truths but then use other issues against you. When in reality, they aren’t even helping the people they say they’re helping. At this time there is a lady in one of the homes, that was attacked by a housemate of hers. She even has a concussion…… Did Hopetree assist this client with pressing charges that she wants to press???? Oh no!!!! They are sweeping it under the rug… Resident that attacked the other client still lives there. And the worst thing is they keep rewarding the aggressive resident and her mother. Management is scared of the patient and her mother. Whatever she wants, they supply, even if it’s at the detriment of their other residents that also have “rights”. No big deal, right!!!!!!! In my opinion, family members that have family at Hopetree really need to involve themselves with Hopetree. Pay attention to the signs….. They’re quite obvious…Listen to your people. Acknowledge what your gut tells you. Future employees if you find yourself advocating for the population you serve….. Beware.
