A. Curriculum is sub-par. 1. The decodables don't use natural language and don't always make sense. It can be confusing for early readers. They feel like they were written by AI. 2. No explicit sight word instruction. 3. Reading Comprehension is a mess. The kids who can decode basically just randomly pick what they want to read. There are no unifying themes and no emphasis on building vocabulary and background knowledge. 4. There is no writing component. Writing is a part of literacy. B. No clear pathway to earning higher-pay. C. The app has no built-in gamification to increase student engagement. I had to be very creative with the limited tools and whiteboard features to try to come up with fun activities to help students practice and review skills. D. Low, unsteady pay
