Promoting managers into roles and areas that they have no knowledge of. It is a setup for failure. A lack of knowledge results in micromanagement and reactionary management practices. Changes in job titles without being provided updated job descriptions. No clear policies equates to managers being able to make up their own rules at their discretion.
