Dear former team member, Thank you for leaving a review of your time as a member of our team, this really does help us learn what we are doing well and how we may improve too. It brings me a lot of satisfaction to see amongst your list of the pros of working at Homewood the sociability of the team and the fun atmosphere. While we all know we have a job to do it is key to our success that we enjoy ourselves while we do it! This is a clear message share with every level of the team and management alike. Having said this I note your comment on long hours and while I appreciate having fun can make the time pass quicker it does not take away from the investment the team put in to see that their guests have an enjoyable visit to the hotel. It is for this reason that we pay our team for the hours they work and recognise their dedication through on the spot rewards and monthly service charge payments. We do always look to give time back where possible but find a lot of the time people would rather be paid! It is positive to see you sharing your experience as a current team member and I am pleased that you are finding the management at the hotel are good and that you have a lot to learn. Our industry is one where we are all continuing to learn every day but to help you (and our managers) we will be focusing on internal training sessions and working with Bath and Wiltshire College over the coming months. Pros

Lovely colleagues, great location, good pay.

Cons

Long hours, often doing overtime to cover staff shortages. Same story with all hospitality jobs.
