Pros

The company has/had great people working there. The team that built Homepolish is a compassionate and wonderful group of people who have the good of the company, designers and clients in mind. Those people created the company that people loved and an environment that reflected that.

Cons

That said, all of those people are gone. The company exist purely for greed and growth at this point. Much like thier NYC office, beautiful but empty and soulless.

Pros

Let me first start by saying that this is not my first job–I have worked for large-scale companies in the fashion, music and entertainment industries, and with that experience behind me, I can say without hesitation that Homepolish is a truly special place. We are not heavily hierarchical, there is no red tape, you do not feel like you are a cog in a machine. At Homepolish, you are given ownership of your role and always have a clear understanding of how what you are working on contributes back to a larger company goal. You feel empowered to contribute, encouraged to be a linchpin, set up for success, and above all you feel like you are making a difference for your team, the company, and the interior design industry. The bonus is that you also happen to do this alongside some insanely talented, fun, hard-working people who not only get in the trenches with you but also feel like your best friends and your family. At Homepolish, you are nurtured both professionally AND personally. I experienced a family tragedy during my time here, and I was given nothing but the most empathetic, kind and generous support. Moreover, I've never taken a vacation and was made to feel guilty about it–in fact, taking time off is encouraged so you don't burn out (which is easy to do at a start up). Finally, we take maternity leave seriously, so we have a great policy set up for that so as a woman, you can have a family AND feel supported in your career.

Cons

We have a group of remote employees who are invaluable, and I wish they could just be with us in NY!
