Pros

Helpful and knowledgable coworkers Great Benefits-especially if you've never had any before. Autonomous scheduling No micro managing Great work life balance

Cons

Very unorganized Lack of structure Low pay, but hey, it is a non-profit Job uncertainty due to funding requirements Constant changes being made "High school" drama environment sometimes Extremely high turnover rate- which causes a lot of clients confused about who their case managers are. When the case manager leaves the baton is not passed, meaning a lot of things the case manager was working on with the client or resources that were in the process of being made to happen, never happen. The client falls through the cracks. Working with some of the property managers and landlords is awful. I'm not a huge fan of shared office space with Columbus City School's "I Know I Can" team. They are extremely loud and have no regard to others working in the office. If you walk through their section they complain to our director, but they will walk through our section and not blink. The higher ups are not very friendly or warm. They kind of act like Gods and we are merely peasants. It's definitely that type of atmosphere. Hopefully that will change one day. The training is not very good, there is no specific job training. And the head of HR is not so good at her job. Very sweet, but maybe stretched too thin. I also don't really see room for growth or advancement.

Pros

Co workers are great. Also clients are thankful

Cons

Company is in trouble. Do your research they was kicked out of Springfield Ohio for stealing money from the ones they was paid to help. Put many families back into homelessness. Even in Columbus went months without paying rent for the ones they housed. Many got eviction notices. Then they made the employees other case managers sign promises to pay to landlords. All while upper managers was taking home bank for their salaries. Stay away unless you want caught up in corruption.
