Good training (unpaid though). Lucrative commissions (if people are dumb enough to not do any research). Fun sales presentation.
Cons
Management lies in the interview about the salary. You get the base pay if you go on a certain number of appointments, but it's physically impossible to go on that many appointments, and you only get about half that number. So no one makes the base pay. Many leads are often poor, and obviously not qualified. The product costs between 7-10k and you are basically forced to pressure people into buying on the spot, sticking them with high interest financing. You don't make any money if you don't sell. If anyone googles the company or the product there are a lot of negative reviews and a ton of stuff about scams that comes up. So often people will cancel after doing research. Google "rainsoft scam" and see what I'm talking about. They have really high turnover and are constantly training new sales reps every week because hardly anyone lasts more than a month or two. But since the training is unpaid, and the price of the product is so inflated, a sales rep just has to make a sale or two and the company makes enough profit to sustain their operation. So the sales reps are basically disposable. I was never paid on time. Given the run around every pay day and wouldn't get my check for several days after, and there was zero transparency in my paycheck/commission reports. 1099 contractor but they have mandatory daily sales meetings which is technically not legal since companies are not allowed to control 1099 contractor schedule. Super sketch. Have an issue with something? They will just stop giving you leads... One manager was cool, the other one was very condescending.
