Pros
Very rewarding, you learn new skills, clients are lovely and appreciative
Cons
Pay is low, client visits are too short for what's asked of you, you are not paid for travelling to and from your first and last appointment which came be 40 minutes away and you get no pay for travelling time between clients. Fuel rates are extremely low and for me, I was paying more on travel than I was getting paid. I find support to be very poor as well. I was shy to a remote area and it's dark and hazardous weather wise at night and in winter. You are expected to get to a client within 15 minutes which is impossible all the time and you end up running late at the end of the day working 2 hours of your own time, plus unpaid travelling time. Internet is poor in remote areas and it's hard to log on and off. Scheduling is poor and often two of us show up for a minimum support type job.
