Pros

If you care about working with the elderly and don't need any income then this is the ONLY reason to work here and this is what it will be, a very low wage and NO benefits

Cons

Was promised regular pay raises when hired and this never happened, when this was brought up in a meeting they denied they ever said this Company makes promises and said things to get elderly and their family to sign up service that were false and its all very sad to loose caring for them and seeing them mad and sad when they go get another company Was told this job was flexible for your schedule but it really wasn't and if they called you for a job and you said no you couldnt then you could be fired and many caregivers had t this happen There was hardly any training Really hard office staff to work with andd when problems or changes for elderly came up it was the worst and very hard to watch how the seniors were treated Was told no lifting more than 20-25 pounds but they demanded caregivers to lift bigger persons out of bed and chair and much more weight Lots of caregivers started and quit Elderly always hated office staffwas always switching caregivers to other cases Company doesnt want any unions and not open to any ideas to help their staff do better jobs Everything was always about money with this company

Pros

Matched clients with same interests

Cons

Not good scheduling manager HR lied When they said $1 per mile when transporting clients, they did NOT reimburse at that rate Payroll/paystubs unclear to intentionally confuse caregivers CarePros who have been loyal to the company have been shat on with lower wages than new-hire employees. They allow clients to be racially biased and hateful towards their caregivers NO BENEFITS and things they advertise are not true! No real flexible schedule that they promote and promise in the job ads NO policy written for things that are unclear for example being on call phones are not provided and time is not paid for unless actively providing cares Management will tell lies to the families about why you don't want to be with a certain client every day of every week and will blame it on them being a difficult client when communicating to the family when in reality schedules and availability with classes does not align. Even with proper notice, the scheduling manager will have attitude and try to convince you that you are the one with the problem even though she does not care to take the time to fully understand each persons preferences or availabilities.
