Pros
Friendly operators in most departments. Easy to form close friendships especially if you're consistently working with the same people. Night shift isn't incredibly staffed so it never feels crowded. Never feels too rushed in our department, management typically leaves us alone which contributes to the positive mood and good production. Our deadlines are not difficult to be met so what's required of us is pretty stress free. Food and drinks provided for purchase, free coffee as well, the break room always looks and feels clean. Company offers free meals on occasion as well as free treats like popsicles and ice cream during the summer.
Cons
Very poor communication comes from management passed down to employees. Instructions are often overlooked or so briefly explained it leaves a lot to question. Other employees don't keep their workstations clean and supplied for the next shift taking over, though will quickly complain if it happens to them. Many employees dislike the break policy, especially since they're now forcing night shift to park in the back lot which they need to walk much further for. Employees are watched more strictly for break times but the shift lead and some department leads consistently take breaks for upwards of 40 minutes sometimes. Some leads will openly talk negatively about employees in the break rooms where anyone can hear them.
