Pros
For context, I've signed up with four temp agencies in DC over the years. One of them simply never found me anything at all. One of them found me one job, for a couple months, and then nothing until a year later when I'd forgotten about them. One of them gave me pretty steady work, but it was *very* temporary - mostly filling in for one of their clients as a valet or receptionist for a day or two when the regular guy got sick.
The fourth was HireStrategy. I worked for them for about a year and a half, during which they found me three jobs. All three jobs were several months of full-time work at a decent paycheck. When the jobs ended, they didn't always have something immediately lined up, since the windows open and close on very short notice - but it never took them very long to find something. In a year and a half of working through them, I was never out of work for more than a couple of weeks.
TL/DR: in a field where it's very hard to find stable work and steady paychecks, HireStrategy provides both. If you're looking for temporary work in the DC area, this is absolutely the best place to go.
Cons
Hate to be such a brown-noser, but none, really.
