Pros

No pros at all, unfortunately.

Cons

* Toxic work environment. * Your personal matters that you have told in confidentiality to HR and your manager will be discussed with colleagues and you will be made fun of behind your back. * Gossip is a common practice, especially from your manager and HR. * There are cameras placed all over the office and even in the hallway leading to the bathroom. It's like working in a prison. * Management will quickly change their tone with you if they don't like you as a person and will try to get rid of you. * Physical appearance is a key factor in who gets hired. Our manager once didn't hire someone because they wore a sweater to the interview. Another woman wasn't hired because she wore too much perfume. * Staff turnover is ridiculously high. It's one of the first things you'll notice when you start working there. If you ask about it, management will trashtalk the people leaving and won't even take a scrap of the responsibility. * They are always interviewing for new employees. Even if they don't need any. They keep people interested in a job with them so they can quickly replace one of the many employees who have resigned. * They have an incentive that states if you come in an hour early, you can leave half an hour early. Now I wouldn't call working an extra half hour an incentive. But if you don't take it, believe you me, the entire office will develop an attitude towards you. * Very inflexible environment. The micromanagement is real. You are not allowed to try and find your own way to make the work go faster or more enjoyable for you. Certain things are done a certain way at certain times and you must comply. * You are not allowed to discuss Hire Resolve in a negative light according to the contract. Whoops. * Spamming the internet with CV's - which does not comply with POPI - is part of the daily routine. * All of your actions on your computer are monitored. Not that you can do anything "naughty" because you are blocked from every single site except the database, job portals and LinkedIn. This includes food menus, which I found utterly ridiculous. It's not like I'm going to stare at menus all day. * Fake ads are posted all over the internet to gather CV's, which gives false hope to the unemployed. They don't even update their website with actual positions. It's cruel, and management doesn't seem to bat an eye. * Not only is it cruel, but it's just annoying. 90% of the calls we receive are from people phoning in to hear more about the fake ads. And you are not allowed to tell them it's fake or old. Need to gather those precious CV's, no matter the cost. * Management searches all employees' names on the job portals. So if you've had your fill with Hire Resolve (can't blame you) and have uploaded your CV to the job portals, you will be confronted about this, and attitudes towards you will quickly and drastically change. * You are not allowed to use your own leave days. I did not use a single one during my time there as my manager simply refused. * I did use my sick days, however. Which was also unacceptable. Meanwhile, my manager was taking sick days like it was going out of style for getting a cold. I shouldn't complain about her not being there though, as everything went significantly better without her around. That was one thing we could all agree on. * The training is really pathetic. And afterwards you are expected to perform to the highest degree even if you don't have the faintest idea of what's going on. You pretty much have to figure it out for yourself and ask collegues to help you. And the colleagues who help you will tell you that they were in the exact same position as you are when they first started there.

Pros

I appreciated Taryn's quick turnaround (on responding to emails and phone messages) throughout my job search process - from providing me a list of potential companies to apply for, to getting updates from the company I had interviewed with regarding a potential job offer. Hire Resolve seems to have a wide list of companies that they contract with, which provides job candidates with plenty of options.

Cons

I ultimately did not accept the job offer by a company that works with Hire Resolve, but that was simply because I ultimately accepted another offer in a geographic location more preferable to me. It was through no fault on any other party.

Pros

It is hard to find a firm that has a family feel and this firm definitely does it right! You feel like you are part of something which makes you want to come to work in the morning! The Managers are supportive and have an open door policy which makes it extremely easy to learn and ask any questions. The Managers also care about you growing within the firm which is very important too!

Cons

Engineering is a hard industry to learn in the beginning and you definitely have to step out of your comfort zone with regards to communicating with candidates which takes a while to get used to.
