There is no work-life balance as there are emails and messages coming in and you have to respond to it no matter if it's late night, weekends or on holiday. A technical support engineer doesn't only work with the technical stuff, everyone will be assigned other tasks to make sure you are contributing enough for the company. The tasks are not clearly written so you will be working on several tasks that's not relevant to each another, this cause confusion on our daily routine while trying to prioritise the main tasks.
