Pros

- getting to see some of the best musicians in the world while at work - free shows - relaxed about dress - meet interesting people - good company name to have on the resume

Cons

- basically no hr department - sexual harassment towards women is out of control - i have seen female employees stalked, slapped on the butt, verbally demeaned, let go for not submitting to male employee advances, and treated like unskilled children when their male counterparts who do the same work get promoted, when any of this is brought up it is instantly pushed aside and "not a real problem", if you stand up for any womans treatment you are blacklisted and don't get hours - competitive, aggressive young male attitudes, if you're an older dude not as bad and you can stay out of the mix and keep chill, but sometimes it's tiring, and there are even some old dudes who are seriously bipolar wildcards who you must avoid - rampant drug use among male employees while on the job - drink the kool-aid philosophy sometimes, they over glorify their service to the community while overlooking some glaringly obvious problems (sexual harassment)

Pros

Higher Ground provides a great environment in the production department. Many amazing acts come through and things stay fresh and interesting due to the variety of events put on.

Cons

This isn't so much a con as it's expected when you know what you're getting into, but if you're new to events be prepared for late nights.

Pros

There are some amazing employees accomplishing incredible things-all despite the venue’s toxic ownership.

Cons

Google ‘higher ground hostile’. No shortage of deeply problematic behavior with both the venue’s founder-president and general manager.
