Pros

A lot of technologies to gain exposure to. Very busy.

Cons

The turnover of staff at High Speed Office is phenomenal. Management expect you to conform and be micromanaged. If you desist, you will be turfed out. The pressure on performing here is high - if you thought you were giving your best, think again and redouble your efforts. Passing probation (should you get that far) is no guarantee that your employment won't be terminated shortly afterwards. The managing director really plays no part other than to appease the board, and hold monthly performance meetings which are a waste of time. It's manic, it's fast paced, and technical management contribute to a stressful working environment. Training offered is practically non existent.

Pros

There's always something going on with all kinds of software projects, giving us experience with different features and integrations. There is a positive attitude towards improving code and processes, and upgrading older software. We're given the opportunity and tools to improve our skills and learn new ones. Both HR and management team are understanding and flexible with both your needs as an employee and as a person. We work with many public and government companies. Amazing people, with lots of experience, who know their craft well and are ready to help you out. You can tell by the years of employment that people have always been treated right.

Cons

A few of the more senior members seem hesitant in changing to new processes. While generally flexible, the senior management team does push for physical office attendance, even for those who feel they won't benefit from it. This hasn’t been an issue for every team, but it has led to some people leaving after the pandemic. Career progression opportunities seem limited, usually depending on if someone leaves.
