Pros

I enjoyed my time at High Trees, it was a great experience, and the work felt like I could see the impact it was making, which isn’t always the case. The different services can be a bit confusing at the beginning but once you see how it all comes together, it’s exciting to see how we all contribute to the big picture. my team was a nice size and liked that we were such a mix of people from different backgrounds and ages and cultures, which I didn't have at my last place. I learnt a lot and some very fun moments but the best part for me was the work itself!

Cons

They’re really clear from the start that it’s a fully office-based role, and they stick to that so there’s no hybrid option at all. That’s great for some people, but I would have preferred a bit more flexibility. The location is well connected, but it’s not in the middle of everything, and there aren’t loads of lunch options. That said, Brockwell Park is nearby and great for a walk in the summer!

Pros

I got to try different roles, working with my team. The people we support and the staff time together.

Cons

End of contract, role. I would like to have find another role to stay.

Pros

Clear salary structure, policies and procedures. Thoughtful employee benefits with a management team that listen to suggestions and sensibly consider how they can be incorporated to make for a better workplace. Actual social impact within the community which is considered and sensible with a long lasting impact. Relaxed and supportive office environment that provides a good balance of fun whilst also making the space conducive to work. Excellent collaboration with other local community organisations which provides opportunities for wider networking and genuinely positive collaborative work.

Cons

Due to the nature of the work, there is limited scope for working from home, this is communicated clearly and is a positive for those wanting to be a part of a good community team but could be challenging for people who want to work from home.
