Pros

- Technical users love the product - Cool branding - Smart, talented team - Employee-friendly benefits

Cons

- Rapid, frequent firing instills a sense of job insecurity and finger-pointing - CEO has manipulative tendencies, pride in micro-managing - Leadership is intense, patronizing, yet inexperienced - Lots of turnover, burnout

Pros

High quality down to earth people, really engaged customers, very fun product + interesting problems to solve. Great founders who really care about the team. No bureaucracy + .high autonomy & trust culture. For a startup - great work life balance and family friendly - lots of employees with kids, no 996 culture. They just trust to get your work done and want to maintain a healthy balance.

Cons

With the high autonomy means not a lot of hand holding, structure or process. Don't expect someone to lay out a 5 year career plan for you. For me this is a good thing, but it's not a culture that'll suit everyone.

Pros

Hex has honestly exceeded all of my expectations. I feel like I'm running full speed (in the best way possible). People genuinely want to hear my ideas, collaborate with me, and see the value in working together as a team. We're moving fast and have big goals to hit, but we take the time to really foster the most human aspects of work. People eat lunch together here, we have team colos and offsites for collaboration, we each get to customize a piece of Hex swag, and you get to work alongside some of the most low ego and down to earth (but wicked smart) people you'll get the privilege of working with. NOT a 9-9-6 model. I genuinely enjoy coming to work each day and feel this is the exact environment that encourages me to do my best work. Leadership trusts you to do great work, very non-political organization, and not a lot of hierarchy. Set up to really focus your time and energy on impact and doing meaningful work Also have heavily invested in talent, people and enablement to ensure we can maintain a high bar while also hiring fast at scale, that we're compensated competitively, have the right systems and programs in place to support a rapidly growing org, and people feel valued here.

Cons

We're regularly rolling out new products & have big revenue milestones we're marching towards - to be expected at a startup but you need to be excited by the work we're doing, high agency, and enjoy failing forward to be successful here People are very cool here and so uniquely themselves - I regularly feel quite basic (lol)
