Pros

They provide a pair of free work boots once a year. They gave me a free bottle of their superglue once during Christmas.

Cons

Terrible pay, far far far far far below industry standard. Constant turnover rate for engineer. Here at the Irvine plant we had several engineers, senior engineers, and even engineer managers leave all within weeks of each other. Management is completely ineffective and borderline incompetent. If you take a look at the Irvine site it is mostly older scientist and engineers who stay because they have a mortgage to pay off. The younger chemist and engineers leave as soon as they find a better and higher paying job. The pay bar is set so low that it is easy to find a higher paying job so most younger fresh blood leave within 2 years. Benefits are also worst than other similar companies. Since the turnover rate is so high they really expect you to do a lot to fill in other roles. This company is very heavy on bureaucracy and its main way of making money is just selling existing products. No investments towards innovation, so many engineers and scientists here leave.

Pros

The ability to learn on the job training by other experienced Maint Electricians is definitely a benefit.

Cons

Trying to grasp all the different technical terms used internally by the Henkel Maint team is a huddle I have to overcome.
