Pros

No pro's to speak of. They simply do not value their employees wellbeing. A selfish organization with extremely poor values, processes & procedures.

Cons

Everything about Helomics is a sham. Their "HR" Department of one does not actually know any HR practices that they did not read out of an HR For Dummies textbook They do not provide proper PPE or ventilation in their labs - dealing with serious chemicals that have extreme side effects, especially for those that are or may be pregnant. We lost a pregnancy due to close contact with Xylene day in and day out, after notifying management many times that proper ventilation and/or PPE was needed. They did not care and held zero accountability. I showed up with a doctor's note saying that I was recovering from a miscarriage (Thanks Xylene!), and suffer from asthma (Thanks, COVID!) - Instead of providing me with work-from-home capabilities (like my peers were granted), they have suspended my employment to "Unpaid Leave" and I cannot file for unemployment, and my benefits have expired.

Pros

Anything positive to say about Helomics ended when Jerry Vardzel (the new CEO/owner) and his partners from Dawson James bought the company in Dec 2016.

Cons

Payroll has been missed at least 6 times since March (though each time it was eventually funded, but always about 2 weeks late). The company wasn't funding the 401K plan in a timely manner. Vardzel thinks the employees should be thankful to be there, even when not getting paid; he had issue with employees expressing displeasure/angst during times company wasn't meeting it's payroll.
