Pros

My grandparents used to work there who passed away so i felt close to them.

Cons

They provided no training- just expected me on my first day to know everything considering they left me alone, were very cliquey and political, made me feel worthless and dumb, pretty much ignored me and made me think i had a mental disorder. They put me in a room to read books or notes all day and then said just to play with the residents...had every patient down to a diagnoses. Treated me like a placement student. One of the head nurses was the meanest person ive ever met as i told them i felt uncomfortable and kicked me out after only 10 days of working there. They escorted me out like a terrorist and they refused to even tell me anything about why. I commuted 2 hours each way to be treated like trash after growing up there. Very heartbreaking and would not recommend. Most staff refused to help as they were too busy and felt like i was in everyones way. I dont care if they try to sue me for saying this bcuz i have so much to sue them for too but this little comment will do for now. Let me go 2 days b4 my bday too. Such trash and fake individual's.

Pros

The administrative staff/managers were a tight-knit group. A lot of growth and learning opportunities in a fast-paced environment. I feel grateful to have worked there because it shaped me as a professional and helped me develop a lot of my soft skills that I still carry with me to this day in my current career.

Cons

A senior care home is definitely for those with a strong stomach. It's a tough work environment and you experience a lot of emotional highs and lows.
