Pros

There are no pros at all.!!!

Cons

Plenty, Where do I begin. Told to make up surveys. Not paid on time. Jimbo's narcisstic attitude to his employees. Once he made me and a co worker lose work hours so he could pay an analyst money for a project that was under bid. Cynthia, his crooked partner in crime, had employees with NO training from the Census Bureau go out and collect data from homes for the census count. That is a big no-no. One time, Jimbo gave us a 401k plan and then stopped it with out informing us. Was that legal?

Being an analyst at Hebert Research is no simple task. A successful research analyst can develop and execute projects independently, while offering superb insight and analysis. Not everyone succeeds in this role or fulfills their job expectations and duties. Hebert Research would like to thank you for your contributions to the company. We are fortunate to employ talented individuals who offer their intellectual capabilities to the tasks we work on . We currently have a great team of employees and many exciting projects now and for the near future. We welcome employees who want to work in market research and bring a strong background and education. We pride ourselves on being a local company and we are passionate about the work we do. Thank you for the work you completed with the firm. We stand behind our employees and strive to foster their success.

Pros

Here you are able to make a large impact in a small business, that helps make long term positive changes in the world of big business. Another plus of a smaller company is working more closely with the CEO and upper level management, which comes the opportunity to be noticed for quick advancement. I feel that my work is ethical and sound knowing that we present data objectively, without bias toward the customers anticipated outcomes. Free parking, good coffee, and clean offices also doesn't hurt.

Cons

Being part of a small company comes with different challenges than when participating in a large corporate conglomerate. Not offering competitive group health insurance is unfortunate, but with the new health reform, income based stipends gives enough options for price/coverage for most people. Outside of the personal water cooler gossip that spreads like wild fire, there is just cons specific to Job roles and the expectations that come with the lower level positions including turnover. How ever this is an issue I have seen and experienced in many other companies large and small.
