Terrible HR practices - Assistant Manager Heartwood Inns Employee Review

You get tronc & tips (sadly is not standard is most other restaurants I've worked in) Rota at least 2 weeks in advance.

The managers often ask waiters to deal with difficult/aggressive customers because they, "dont want to right now". When you raise any issues with the larger companies HR dept, it's more like dress-up pretend HR, rather than a real HR. They listen and nod to your major complaints, but ultimately do nothing.

Often made to stay after your scheduled hours with no choice Shifts often cancelled with no explanation Long evening shifts where you can work from 4pm-12am without a break or any food Inconsistent hours every week Often not enough workers when you’re on shift so it’s understaffed
