Pros

A great company that can balance short and long term goals. Employee focused, trustworthy and service driven. Excellent leadership team that listens and values employee feedback but most of all takes the necessary steps when improvement is needed. Positive company culture exists due to their business strong values and ethics. I am going into my 6th year with the company and as much positivity as I feel about our leadership team, I have been truly blessed to have such an amazing direct manager who has mentored, guided and encouraged me in my 6 years of employment. She is irreplaceable. The best company I have worked for throughout my career.

Cons

None that I have recognized

Pros

8 to 5 Monday thru Friday. Pay is ok and while insurance is high, it seems good.

Cons

The company has had 4 Presidents in 3 years and I've had more DM's in the same period of time than I can remember. As an organization, we no longer meet up for trainings, or other events for product knowledge, no CEU information is ever sent to us either. or just camaraderie at all, ever.. that stopped 2 years ago. No one knows anyone else in the company and the disconnect between those who actually earn the company its money and management is huge. Communication is the worst one could imagine as we seldom ever get news about anything until its too late and when we do, it's never from the sources itself, but rather by accident from a Teams chat etc. The only time we actually get communications directly is when they've fired or hired another President for the company, which I stated earlier is quite often. Corporate employees are for the most part non-existent in the sense they hide or pass the buck to someone else as to not have to do anything. We can wait months for action on important items dealing with our office(S). You'll send a dozen or more emails on a subject and still get no resolution to the problem from anyone, I mean anyone from any department. We have no say whatsoever in our scheduling calendar and if you ask the DM or the district assistant to mark or block slots for marketing or other needed reasons, you're ignored and just end up moving clients to accommodate the office needs as they just do not even respond. Support is almost entirely a non starter and as long as you don't ask for help, you can stay under the radar and not get into trouble as they will come after you here. Promotions or even the opportunity for them is something I've never seen either, everyone is always hired from outside the company and then most DM's and higher ups have no medical licensing or even the slightest bit of medical knowledge regarding what it is HCP's do in their daily role here so help from the DM is again, not forthcoming. Turnover here is for a lack of better terms, super high! We have so many open positions that cannot, or are not being filled due to company reputation (IMHO), from CES's (front office support), HCP's and DM's. I've seen some very good HCP's who have the best knoweldge and are very good at client care just up and leave because of the poor to non-existent leadership here at HearUSA. It is so bad I feel it's a threat to the company's survival at this point in time. The company really started sliding hard and fast shortly after the new VP of Hearing Centers came on board. People with knowledge and understanding for the business were all let go without even anyone in the centers knowing it. From there, people were brought in and nothing has been the same, just chaos and doom. Pretty much all the communication problems and operational issues have arisen since he came aboard and I believe as long as he is here, things are only going to continue getting worse for the company. So, if you can avoid this company as a licensed Hearing Care Provider, I would do so at all costs unless you are just desperate for a paycheck. The stress of it all could more than you can stand and I cannot recommend this company to anyone at this point. When I was asked in the past if I knew of a licensed HCP looking to make a change, while of course I do, I just told them no. Why would I want to put my personal well known colleagues and friends in a bad position. The company is in such a bad way, reputation wise that hey had to resort to posting positions internally with huge sign-on bonuses just to try and fill openings as no one here would recommend their colleagues to this place.
