Pros
I was able to find people that I worked with that were professional and competent. My salary was very good for the market and I was happy with it.
Cons
While I was able to find some professional and competent people, that was not the norm. Salaries were generally lower for this market and they definitely got what they paid for. Expectations were unreasonable and management was often abusive. No employee should ever hear cursing at work regardless of their level of management. I have heard the CEO cursing at our director and a president of a division cursing at a front line employee. No management person should ever get up in front of his employees and talk about how his personal reputation is on the line. Are we working for the company or for him personally.
