Pros

I was not allowed to remain employed long enough to discover any Pros.

Cons

I and my Department were "purple" to the bone long before Day 1. In reward for our open minds and eagerness to serve, we were unceremoniously dismissed in a fashion reminiscent of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. What occurred in the Tempe office on November 5th, 2019 was one of the most unprofessional mass layoffs I have ever been privy to in a 20+-year career. The organization preaches transparency and professionalism. The machinations which resulted in the maiming of hundreds of people's careers were more than surreptitious. I find it difficult to, in good faith, classify as professional senior executives who veritably litter their monologues and diatribes with profanity and snarky jokes/accusations. The Draper folks who were, subsequently, promoted to the VP and Director levels replaced senior, seasoned executives with with advanced degrees and scores of years of experience who were closing multi-million-dollar deals when the children in question were in kindergarten. These folks' outlandish and ignorant decision-making processes were more than evident from Day 1, and their hubris-driven sense of superiority mixed with their complete lack of two-way communication have served only to denigrate and disenfranchise the poor WageWorks folks who remain employed.

Pros

From the very beginning, the experience felt welcoming, thoughtful, and well organized. The recruitment process was smooth and informative, and every interview felt like a genuine opportunity to have real conversations and build meaningful connections. The team was incredibly supportive throughout both hiring and onboarding, which made the transition feel seamless. A great example of the company’s culture is Trailhead, an experience designed to bring new hires together early on and help them connect, learn, and feel part of the organization right away. It’s clear there is a lot of intention behind how employees are supported, especially when it comes to building connection from day one.

Cons

Still early in my time here, but no major cons to note so far.
