Supposed to be helping seniors but ended up harassing and berating them with constant calls. - Medicare Sales Representative Health IQ Employee Review

Pros

Work from home of course, free health insurance and an overall good comp plan even though it changes constantly.

Cons

Poor communication right from the start. People in charge have no idea what a Medicare agent does so cannot relate at all. Very shady when it comes to disclosing why the comp plan changes and offers zero explanation to it. After AEP, they will let go 30% of the staff. Short term ideas, they have no long-term direction.

Health IQ Response

We help seniors every day make the best choices and decisions for themselves when it comes to health and wellness. We aren't harassing them, it's called sales. I'm sorry you feel communication was poor. We make every effort to ensure you have time to ask questions or request additional training if you didn't feel prepared to sell. Also the comp plan didn't change this year. Seems to have been a misunderstanding. We do hire hundreds of seasonal sales agents and some will be released (hence the seasonal job title) after AEP but we do make an effort to provide full-time opportunities based on business needs and individual performance.
