We interviewed someone for the engineering team but this person was not given the role, and the CEO decided to give a leadership position regardless.
For the first time in my professional life, I saw something happening that I have never heard of before. Direct reports of this person at the previous company reached out to the team at Heal to let everybody know about this person issues. Nonetheless, this person brought the same issues to Heal and broke the entire team.
Lack of communication and clear vision, lots of unnecessary meetings consuming the scarce time available to develop anything, forcing the engineering team to hire people that did not pass the technical interview just because they are friends and Indians. The engineering team is currently on halt and not producing anything to move the company further.
A general lack of respect for people's professional careers and their contributions to the company.
According to this person's previous team, this person had so many complaints with HR that they were already planning to let this person go because the whole company was complaining how this person destroyed projects, the self-esteem of engineers and productivity. Exactly the same thing this person is doing at Heal.
Stay away! You don't want to work here. It's not anymore about bring good people, but bringing friends and giving them a much bigger pay than everybody else that built this company.
