Pros

There are some genuinely good people there. It is the bike industry so you have the usual product perks that go with that.

Cons

The corporate culture was toxic. This was largely driven by the Lambert side of the business. Passing the buck (or Looney) and assigning blame seems to be the default response in most situations. Senior management will ask for a heavy lift and then not provide the resources required to achieve the goal. Communication is poor, fill rates for product are poor, there are constant issues paying vendors and the accounting team does not communicate effectively with vendors when problems arise. The senior leadership in Quebec are pretty nice people on a one on one basis. They are also smart but there is a lot they don't know about product, the US market, customer service, how to treat their sales force. They pull goals out of thin air without any thought to what is required to achieve them. I could go on but you get the point. This, coupled with an arrogance that they know it all has taken a solid company with a good reputation (Hawley USA) and completely gutted it. If they are still here in two years I would be shocked. The spirit of most of the US product & sales team seems to be broken and has been for some time. They feel marginalized and that as experts in their markets they are ignored.
