Pros

Great medical/dental/vision plans at low cost to employees 30 days after the first of the month, 401(k) match after 6 months, 529 plan, 100% employee-owned ESOP company (which means that after a few years of service you are given shares of company stock which serve as a great source in addition to a 401(k) to save up for retirement), very laid-back atmosphere. Lots of family members and friends work here-it's small enough that you can know everyone. Has a few events each year to bring employees together, including Christmas Party, Annual Golf Outing, Company Picnic, & Chili Cook-off. All of these events are at no charge to the employee. Salaries are competitive-I would say not above or below the average for the industry.

Cons

Not as much room for advancement unless you stick with the company very long-term (just because it's smaller and has less positions available for advancement.) However, with that being said, many of the supervisors and even managers got their position from long-term service with the company and not because they have a 4 year degree. Can be a pro or con, depends on the eyes of the beholder.

Pros

Strong ownership culture and a real commitment to customers. People care about the business and take pride in doing things the right way.

Cons

The company can be cautious with change and growth opportunities. At times, I’d like to see us move a little faster when good opportunities are in front of us.

Pros

The personnel are pretty good. They are friendly and fun to work with. The management are interested in transparency, so you'll get much more information than most companies. It's an ESOP, so the transparency is in your best interest as an employee owner.

Cons

You work around some dangerous chemicals. You also are going to hear some rough language.
