Pros
For employees covered by the union, HUTCW, there is an excellent tuition assistance program, possibly the best among universities. Also strong health and dental benefits.
Cons
There is a culture of overwork at Harvard and a tendency of staff, especially staff that are embedded among faculty and students, to get caught up in that. I felt constantly pressured to work overtime for no additional pay.
