Pros

- honestly no pros I can think of, this is all based around my personal experience working for Hartmann Young.

Cons

- Managers take your fees and make you work on fake roles, I witnessed someone work on something for months with success and get no commission for it - No progression or proper training, none of the managers have had management training and have no idea what they're doing - Over 30 people have left the company over the last 2 years because of how toxic the management are - Fake incentives, top biller was promised a trip to Las Vegas which was never organised - Concerns are never listened to - No flexibility, no work from home options and long hours - Management are allowed to leave the office whenever they want for things like haircuts but consultants must book time off for basic things such as a dentist or doctors appointment - Not allowed to leave your desk during the day and are forced to stand up for 2 hours everyday and cold call (phone hour) - Sick pay doesn't exist so you are often catching illness from other people and then forced to take your annual leave if you want a sick day or go unpaid - Toxic environment that revolves around drinking, if you aren't into this then you are isolated from the group - Women are hired based on their appearance - The CEO used to get only the women to make him teas and coffees which never sat right with me - The perks and benefits document was plagiarised from another recruitment firm except all the benefits were changed and made worse - No boundaries between work hours and personal hours, people used to get texts in the early hours of the morning over stupid things that could have been dealt with face to face - Well-respected employees verbally abused and threatened in front of the whole office - Managers snoop through your personal LinkedIn account and read your personal messages - They hire inexperienced consultants, don't give them proper training and then sack them within a few weeks/months - No compassion or emotional understanding from my experience

Pros

My experience at Hartmann Young has been genuinely career-defining. Beyond the success and progression, what has stood out most is the encouragement to step outside of my comfort zone and build a profile within the industry. Through the support of the business, I've had the opportunity to become UK Sub-Chair for Women In Nutraceuticals, speak at international conferences, host industry events, grow my newsletter audience to thousands of subscribers, and launch my own podcast. Opportunities that, a few years ago, I wouldn't have imagined myself doing. Over the last year, I've experienced some significant personal challenges and life changes, and throughout it all I've been met with kindness, understanding, flexibility and support. The leadership team have always backed me professionally whilst giving me the space to navigate important moments in my personal life. The culture is ambitious and high-performing, but never at the expense of people. I've been trusted to build my market, develop meaningful industry relationships and create opportunities that have given me confidence not only as a recruiter, but as a professional. It's a business that genuinely wants its people to succeed and provides the platform to make that happen.

Cons

The expectations are high and success requires consistency, resilience and self-motivation. It isn't an environment for people looking to coast.

Pros

- There is a huge focus on learning and development with a very clear and realistic career plan in place which helps set personal targets and milestones. - There is really collaborative culture where everyone is encouraged to support one another to drive a high performing atmosphere. - Perks are amazing, monthly/ quarterly/ annually with trips abroad and 5 star days out for the top performers.

Cons

High expectations and ambitious growth plans do set a fast paced environment. I don't personally see it as a con as I want to be part of an team that wants to drive growth.
