      Pros

      There was always plenty of overtime available. Usually in the form of a double shift to cover someone who called off.

      Cons

      Always understaffed and usually severely so (which is why there was always plenty of overtime available). Dangerous for staff and for patients because violent patients were mixed in with vulnerable patients 24/7.

      practical experience, knowledge, and skills gained

      Cons

      low census days come from your PTO. You have to use your PTO for sick time, vacation, holidays, etc. Could be more organized
