Pros

Fast-paced, exciting work with an organization that truly cares about its people. You get out what you put in - if you are prepared to work hard and learn you will be rewarded with exciting and meaningful work, excellent chances to advance and build your career. Depending on your interests there is room to work with a variety of clients, from fortune 500 to political polling to healthcare and more. HarrisX has a flat organization structure, and that means you get plenty of opportunity to learn from highly experienced and intelligent leaders, with no room for egos. The company is admirably open and receptive to feedback, and treats its employees with kindness and compassion for their individual circumstances.

Cons

This job is not for everyone - during busy times the hours can be long and the workload substantial, so people who are not the right fit can burnout.

Pros

HarrisX works with a variety of clients across multiple industries, which means there is no shortage of interesting work. Being a smaller company, everything you do is very important. There are not a dozen layers of redundancy between your work and the final product. You will sink or swim on your own merits. While that can sound scary, the team is full of incredible people who are there to help you learn and grow. Everyone here is hardworking, exceptionally talented, and always willing to share what they know. Even the executive team is aware of the technical side of the workflow, and they will acknowledge your efforts when you do a good job.

Cons

Certain periods can get overwhelmingly busy. Juggling multiple clients and projects is standard, and sometimes a lot of deadlines line up all at once. No one will be watching over your shoulder to make you work extra hours, but at the end of the day you are responsible for making sure the work gets done. Pay could also be better, considering the amount of responsibility the average employee has. Being a smaller company, there is no standardized system of pay increases or bonuses, meaning you need to take the time to make the case yourself.
