Pros
This company overall has great benefits, has programs that enable progression with management and gives out bonus checks given the service you provided for the company. This company is still a good opportunity for those who graduated from high school and who want work exprience firsthand.
Cons
This company like some others continues to have some issues with hiring enough people to provide excellent service to its customers at certain times. Harris Teeter's higher management continue to worry about SC Johnson visitations and has increased the number of mystery shops while not considering how employees feel of being overwhelmed by increased needs to complete tasks, meet company regulations and policy changes that only makes things more complicated to satisfy customer needs and job tasks at the exact same time. Managers feel compel to be anxious or annoy with their co-workers who don't meet their expectations of what they think will meet corporate's standards. Another big thing is that Harris Teeter's home shop system or online shopping has become more of a nuisance for the company in some respect given that there are not many employees at registers to check out customers while everyone is focused on the online shopping. Many have said this while having to wait for 5 to 10 mins for at least one employee to ring them up while the self-checkouts continue to have problems non-stop given coupons or simply the weight system. Some Harris Teeter stores continue to have serious issues with maintaining their equipment, lights, etc. Distribution center continues to have issues setting up how to organize product and sometimes pallets are disorganized badly.
