Pros

Every once in awhile you will have a manager that looks out for you. Pay is above average

Cons

Your role as a cashier is to be yelled at from the beginning to end of your shift. It is endless. If you do a good job, you might get a $5 coupon for lunch. My first month on the job (year and a half) I received the employee of the month and got daily positive referrals. After 3 months I was promised a promotion when the next customer service clerk quit. Then time after time when someone quit they would pass on me because "they wanted someone they could trust would stay for a while". After 2 years of this and 35 replacements, none stayed more than 6 weeks, they offered me a $1/hr promotion, at a store 25 miles away, to a high schooler who already biked 7 miles a day to come into work. Every day was hell and if I didn't have managers that were somewhat nice I would have left long ago. Then they closed our store (#200) because of customer complaints because they wouldn't fire a special needs employee who frequently cursed at children and customers on a daily basis. So with 2 weeks warning, despite sales going up month after month, they shut us down.
