Pros
I enjoy being part of a strong company with committed colleagues and high performing culture. We expect a lot from each other as we have high expectations towards what we deliver to our clients, who also generally have high expectations. It's hard work to be a high performer at anything, but like most things in life that are hard, it is also rewarding.
Locally, this company has grown with consistent leadership during my time here to become by far the largest. While friends in other firms have seen big leadership challenges and/or sold, Harden has been remarkably consistent.
Cons
It's not a con, but not everyone fits into a high performing environment. It is harder to do things the way Harden does consistently, but that is similar to most things worthwhile in life. If you compare Harden to it's local peers, try to find one that has the consistency and commitment of this place. Harden has no true peers in Jacksonville and only a few in Florida.
If you compare Harden to other high performing professional services companies, I'd bet Harden's work/life balance stacks up well. Rather than simply looking at a message board where a disgruntled or two doesn't share their name, ask current associates and clients what they think.
