Pros

It is a very congenial, casual, friendly group to work with. It is true that it feels like you are part of a family after a short period of time. Work is enjoyable because it is fast paced, no time for boredom. And it is a unique store with a very interesting array of inventory ... best place in the world to prepare for a Zombie apocalypse.

Cons

The work is very physical no matter what job you have and the hours are insane -- any given week you will work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, not healthy. I don't know what they mean by 'decent pay', I am leaving not because I want to but because I can't pay bills with my pay check. There is no sign of any kind of training programs -- management or otherwise. They like to throw people into jobs and expect them to pick it up as they go along. It's like the drive to open 1000 stores is the defining mission, objectives, and goals to exclude all else. It feels like there is an impending likelihood for implosion due to this excessive drive to rake in billions for a handful of soft spoken executives. If they are so interested in making slick videos, why don't they make some that will benefit and truly develop their front-line human resources? And if they think they are going to reach 1000 by hiring managers from WalMart, et al, to the exclusion of promoting from within, they are going to really anger some otherwise dedicated people.

Pros

Great benefits, fast paced environment, good teamwork. I liked the hours, you get an education about tools, whether from your coworkers or the customers. And speaking of the customers, they were on the better side for retail. Most are down to earth and easy to converse with.

Cons

Supply chain issues, many parts would never be replenished, despite being featured, advertised, and on display. That would often lead to tensions with customers. Aggressive time constraints on tasks. Sidewalk sales, holidays, and also coincidentally inclement weather days, can be quite busy and therefore stressful. Especially if there's call outs, but if you have a good management team, you'll have good staff that will want to work for them.
