If you are looking for good pay and holidays off, don't work here. - Data Entry Harbor Freight Tools Employee Review

Pros

I work in the Data Entry dept in one of their 2 corporate offices. We can wear jeans, sweatshirts and listen to our own music all day.

Cons

The pay is really bad. If you don't "need" the job to pay bills, then that's good because you won't get paid very much at all. You'll have to work holidays except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Asking for time off around the holidays probably won't happen, either, unless you are one of the favorites. The work isn't very hard, but you still have to keep your numbers up or they will get rid of you. Overall, it's not the worst job I've ever had.

Pros

Great benefits, fast paced environment, good teamwork. I liked the hours, you get an education about tools, whether from your coworkers or the customers. And speaking of the customers, they were on the better side for retail. Most are down to earth and easy to converse with.

Cons

Supply chain issues, many parts would never be replenished, despite being featured, advertised, and on display. That would often lead to tensions with customers. Aggressive time constraints on tasks. Sidewalk sales, holidays, and also coincidentally inclement weather days, can be quite busy and therefore stressful. Especially if there's call outs, but if you have a good management team, you'll have good staff that will want to work for them.
