Has its downsides but you can make money there - Sales Representative Hansons Employee Review

Pros

You can make money there -- as in 50k-100k/year, although the average person is probably not suited for high-pressure sales. No previous experience necessary -- you only need to have decent social skills, ability to connect with others, and, more than anything, the balls to not take no for an answer. Your will and enthusiasm are going to be the most important factors in your ability to make good money in this job. They paid out all of my remaining commissions after I left without issue. I liked the managers I worked for, very solid guys.

Cons

There are a lot of lies, which will become apparent over time, some of which did not sit well with me. The earning potential will also be contingent upon how many leads (appointments) are available -- the leads (interested potential customers) can be sold, but if you only get 1 lead a day, that's not going to be ideal. Over time there were a lot of daily frustrations that used to drive me nuts but which I have since long forgotten. If you are a frugal and determined young man, you could get in and out in a year and make (and save) a large sum of cash and then go do anything you wanted.
