Pros
There is an emphasis on leadership, and everyone around you is definitely invested in giving you feedback to develop you. The program taught me how to become more people oriented and build followership from others. The program also taught me a lot about daily operations and the importance of execution.
Cons
I was disappointed by the fact that in this role, there was not a lot of opportunity to focus on business, analytics, or strategy. However, as I said in the Pros section, I did gain in other areas that were blind spots for me. Also, during the recruitment process, the recruiters make it seem as if being an RMT gives you ease of advancement in ranking as well as into the corporate office. While that is partially true, you cant rely on that alone, you still need to be the best. Because this is so implied during recruitment, a lot of RMTs end up being disappointed when they're not being offered advancements, and end up leaving the company after 2 or 3 years. Salaries are sub-par, but 401K plan is very generous.
