Pros

Helpful and friendly co-workers. Pleasant interactions with customers. Adequate training. Environmentally progressive.

Cons

Arbitrary policy changes with no explanation. Unless you are full time...and that would be a fairly small number of employees..you can expect to get the minimum hours in your category. I am part-time flex(28-38 hours) and for some time now am getting only the minimum,and have been told to expect the same in the future. I understand managers are not getting their bonuses,even though our store had a record-breaking season. I think the worst thing that happened to Hannaford Bros. was being acquired by Delhaize....we must help pay for their missteps re/Food Lion etc. On a store level,there is much favoritism/nepotism..it's not what you know,but who you know. With the hours being cut,staffing is quite inadequate for the work that needs to be done,with the result being customers are poorly served and employee burnout and low morale.

Pros

Occasional free provided food in break room, great community, understanding managers on all ends, etc

Cons

No real employee discount but honestly hannafords brand stuff is really cheap. like. 2.00 for 18 eggs?? yes please

Pros

In my location at this point the management is very good at passing along workers who are unkind and have bad attitudes.

Cons

Currently, the most difficult part would be the dealing with people who are trying to scam us.
