Pros

Can leave on time when you finished your work so quickly

Cons

1. Rejected to pay me any salary after I resigned to the company. I worked there for 6.5 days in total and then I received a much better offer so I decided to leave. They said my leave caused a loss to them because they put training on me. The so-called "training" is just a normal handover. During the days there, I made my own note with all the steps by steps to make sure I can pick up the work quickly. Indeed the company have also mentioned the work is very straight forward and it just needed time for practise to get familiar with. After around 3-4 days I could work independently when my former position was late to work sometimes. After a few of conversations with the company, they banked in £120 to my account directly without getting an agreement with me. I raised that the amount is even lower than the minimum wage and I disagreed. And then no more reply from the company. (I now just realise is it my 24k pay per annum before tax with 5.5 working days per week is also lower than the minimum wage, which is illegal??) 2. This company is a family business. 90% of the staff are from the same family. 3. You are nearly the only one who worked on the administrative duties. Besides, you also need to serve the bosses with tea and coffee everyday at certain of times. You also need to clean the pantry & toilet on every Friday. 4. They claimed their working environment is nice (well the interior is sth like 70s style). There is only a small pantry in the basement with 2 chairs and 1 very small side table. Microwave is here but broken for a year and they do not decide to fix it because they don't want colleagues to bring their lunch boxes. They don't like the smell of food. 5. When I resigned from the company, they asked me to back to office on the other day again for discussion. But now they are not willing to pay this day as well! (I still worked for a full day and finished all the duties). They increase the pay to 28k when making a new recruitment after I resigned. But before that they tried to ask me to stay by giving 26k only. When I asked the contact person about the pay, he started said he is an employer only and refused to help. He told me to ask the boss directly which is very irresponsible. 6. Before offering me this position. The company asked me if I could have "training" (aka handover) at my soonest convenience because they want the former position colleague and me had a longer time of handover. I resigned to my previous company and tried to get the earliest leaving day in order to make a favour to the company. What I received a feedback from the company now is "it's all just up to me". 7. This company made me so disappointed. It ruined my work experience in the UK. I have worked in different companies in the London before but none of them act like this.
