Pros

As a manager the only reason to work here is to beef up your resume. Another reason may be to 'test your local marketing skills', as long as you do not think too much outside the box, as your ideas will be shot down. Another pro is to learn business basics, generic book keeping, hiring, terminating, and making a product to specifications. Learn them quick and get the heck out!

Cons

60+ hours a week as a manager, horrible salary structure for the store management team ($25,000 to $40,000/yr). YOU WILL work all holidays, you will work every Friday and Saturday. You will cover shifts when your assistant managers call off. You will be pressured to make your numbers look better than what they are. In addition, you will continually be chastised for running excessive labor when you are given out of reach goals. I am having a hard time stopping the cons...no community involvement, no pay raises...etc.

Pros

Management looks good on a resume. Other than padding for your work experience, Hallrich is a waste of your time.

Cons

Hallrich will lure you in with a promising job offer, and keep you hooked with rewards that they never actually follow through on. Disgustingly low salaries for unrealistic expectations and heavy workload. Outside hires are routinely brought in and paid significantly higher than managers that started in team member positions. Managers are transferred constantly. Upper management communicates only through passive aggressive text messages and emails. Policies and practices are strictly enforced for some employees but not all. Unethical behavior from employees in all levels of management (ranging from theft to sexual relationships), is consistently ignored and forgotten about. You will work every weekend, usually a minimum of 10-12 hour shifts. Your shifts will be different every week, so rest assured you will never be able to make plans or keep up with hobbies or non-work responsibilities. Also, good luck trying to call-off for any reason, including emergencies or illness. On one occasion, I was forced to work while sick with strep throat because no one was available to cover my shift.
