Pros

It's been an incredible experience to work for Hallow. I've always worked at places whose mission I believed in, but what sets Hallow apart is the amazing team they've built. You can like your title or your company mission, but if you don't have a good manager or good colleagues, it can be rough. No place is perfect and start-up life can be grinding, but I truly enjoy the people and culture! I think the habits they've built of celebrating wins, public gratitude and radical feedback also contributes to surfacing the best in everyone. It becomes less about striving for recognition via promotions and more about bettering yourself and others every day in service of the shared mission. I also just appreciate the willingness for Hallow to invest in technology and benefits that make work and life easier. They're not afraid to invest in the business and their talent.

Cons

It's definitely a demanding job! It's a lean team so we all work hard and there are long hours. That said, people are very understanding if you have strict blocks on your calendar for family commitments or health needs, etc...

Pros

One of the things I value most about my job is the people. I work alongside incredibly talented, mission-driven colleagues who genuinely support one another both professionally and personally, creating a positive, collaborative culture. I have the privilege of building meaningful relationships with our partners as we help their staff, students, and families deepen their relationship with Christ. I’m trusted to be creative, lead impactful projects, and contribute beyond my core responsibilities. Being able to pray with and for my coworkers is something I don't take for granted, and our leadership is approachable, transparent, and invested in our success. On top of that, the company offers outstanding benefits, fair compensation, and a level of flexibility that allows me to do my best work.

Cons

Because the company hires exceptional talent, the expectations are high and the interview process is rigorous. As a fast-growing startup, we move quickly, adapt often, and not every process is fully polished, which requires flexibility and a willingness to embrace change. While it's the best job I've ever had, it's also the most demanding. Success requires initiative, resilience, and a strong work ethic. You have to be willing to hustle.
