Pros

Stable company with conservative business mindset. Tremendous amount of expertise throughout the firm provides good technical growth for employees. You will become an expert in your field of choice due to the training and mentorship here. There are some of the best and most talented people in the engineering industry working here.

Cons

Business development is valued most over all else. If you do not want to or have aspirations to grow business development skills you will be devalued over all those who do excel in business development. However, this is contrary to what is preached by the firm that all career paths are valued. In some departments disproportionate favoritism by upper management is practiced which promotes low employee morale. No defined or published path to follow to move a career into executive positions. Yet many do move up into executive positions somehow.

Pros

- Quiet workplace environment - Relatively stable work (team dependent) - Can be a decent place to work depending on your needs/ wants

Cons

Overall, here is a summary of the company: - Some good teams- the company has some stronger departments, whereas others are not well supported in the organization - Poor benefits and compensation, slow progression/ no progression of salary, no yearly adjustments, no sick leave - Cross-team communication & collaboration were consistently very unorganized; each team is operating on very different managerial practices - The environment radiates the low-budget, value-engineered work that the company largely takes on, in terms of personalities within the office, as well as overall company morale. This will work for you if you value the stability it provides, but it will be difficult to advance in this organization if you aren't in alignment.
