Pros
Competitive salary. There are some really good people in the company. Paid volunteer time.
Cons
Leadership is often the best available within the company. Not necessarily the best. There are not many true senior level staff to mentor mid-level staff. Many mid-level staff are de facto senior staff, when they could use more experience and perspective. Senior management often feels like a fraternity. This normalizes similar behavior in staff and creates an atmosphere that is not great for people that are not likeminded. Some things should not be said or shared at work.
