Pros

You can build lifelong friendships with staff and clients. You tend to see some clients on a weekly to biweekly basis...forever. Usually this is a good thing if they are nice people. The starting pay is pretty decent and the benefits are good.

Cons

Unfathomable meetings every single day, sometimes twice a day. We are talking at least 5-6 hours a week, sometimes more in just meetings. Beating a dead horse meetings about numbers, the terrible quality products they want you to sell and how to get the clients to upgrade, regardless of how high a membership they are on. The raises are not great, but if you have used car salesmen mentality you could go far in Hair Club with their commission based sales tactics.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed the culture, the team, and the opportunities for growth—those are all things we care deeply about fostering every day. While the technical side of hair systems can be tedious, we love that you see the bigger picture and the results for our clients are so rewarding. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Pros

My direct reports were very supportive Amazing clients Transform lives and instill confidence

Cons

Many leaders-regional support all the way up to CEO have been here too long. Needs an overhaul in leadership change from the top. You can’t expect better financial and performance growth and more clients with doing the same things year after year. Sales team-training is amazing first 2 weeks, but then you see every consultant doing different things-no consistency, no accountability, and no new sales. Stylists that have been here a long time 10 plus years-No pay raises in the time I was here. Expect customers who can hardly afford their memberships to tip and take care of the stylists. Healthcare is not affordable-especially if you have a spouse. If you don’t take care of your employees, they won’t take care of your customers and you will continue to have high turnover as a company.

We acknowledge your concern regarding leadership, strategy for better performance, and sales team consistency post-training. We are actively evaluating our compensation structure to better reward long-term stylists and have been making consistent improvements year after year for better plan design with more affordable employee healthcare options to honor our commitment that employees must be taken care of to successfully serve customers.
