Pros
- There are a number of talented, smart, innovative employees who are drawn to the brand promise of a "Healthier Way of Life." - It is a place to quickly grow your career if you are smart and talented, as senior level turnover is high so you can be promoted quickly.
Cons
- No focus on legitimate employee health as you are expected to be available and working 24/7. I received numerous early morning and late evening phone calls, and if I "dared" to take a vacation day my boss would call throughout the day with "urgent" requests. - Was lied to repeatedly, and asked to lie to executives more senior than my boss. - The bonus and 401(k) programs are not competitive. The bonus program has not paid out in years, and the employer contribution to the 401(k) is minimal. - The smart, innovative employees all leave quickly once they discover the toxic culture at Hain. Then you are left with veteran employees who either simply go through the motions or who demonstrate unethical behavior.
