Pros

Very creative and talented staff

Cons

Owner was dishonest to clients and made it difficult to work there. Very fake. He put on a very charming attitude to clients, but then turned around and openly speak ill of them. Did not treat his staff well. Would take on projects with unrealistic timelines and expect staff to bend over backwards to finish projects while he was at the cottage.

I'm not sure the author of this comment, obviously someone who was unhappy at Haft2. I would like to speak directly to you as to your meaning of these outlandish comments posted. I believe the staff at Haft2 would very much disagree with with your comments. To be clear, I do not speak ill of clients behind their back. Haft2 promotes a transparent environment. BTW- I don't have a cottage, please get your facts straight.

Pros

If you’re considering working at Haft2, especially early in your career, proceed with extreme caution. The agency presents itself as mission-driven and values-based due to its nonprofit focus, but internally the culture is anything but supportive. Leadership, particularly from the owner, Paul is defined by constant micromanagement, passive-aggressive communication, and a fixation on inconsequential details that derail real progress. Instead of empowering employees to think strategically or creatively, the environment fosters fear, second-guessing, and paralysis. Employees are made to feel like they’re walking on eggshells at all times. One small mistake, often subjective or trivial can feel like a career-ending offense. There is little psychological safety, no room to learn or grow, and no trust extended to staff to do the jobs they were hired for. Confidence is routinely undermined rather than built. Feedback is inconsistent and often delivered in a way that feels punitive rather than constructive. Priorities shift constantly, yet employees are blamed for not reading minds or anticipating unspoken expectations. This creates a culture of anxiety, burnout, and self-censorship, where people focus more on avoiding blame than doing meaningful or innovative work.

Cons

If you thrive under autonomy, collaboration, or supportive leadership, this is not the place. Haft2 may talk about values externally, but internally it struggles with basic leadership fundamentals: trust, clarity, and respect for its people.

Pros

- Non-profit space can be rewarding at times - Colour is a focus and can be fun. - Some great passionate team members you get to work with.

Cons

- The leader of the agency lacks leadership and a bigger picture thinking, should retire and trust within his employees to lead but his delicate ego won't allow this. - Agency pretends it is a full service agency but ultimately it is a branding agency. Nothing more. - Senior Management often plays the blame game, promotes a culture of fear instead of transparency. - Employee retention is abysmal. No one wants to stay. - Covid safety measures were not taken seriously. We can work from home! - The fact that the owner's ego was so delicate that he responded to a negative review here personally just shows how out of touch this person is. Hire a real HR person, not a glorified accountant. Saying the positive reviews are the "true" story. Huge red flag. You may not have a cottage but he did have a vacation home in Palm Springs. The owner should never speak on behalf of the entire staff of Haft2, your voice is clearly biased.
