Pros

Working at Hackensack Meridian Health has been a very positive experience, especially when it comes to benefits and employee support. One of the biggest advantages is that health benefits begin almost immediately, which gives employees peace of mind from day one. The medical, dental, and vision coverage options are strong, and there are also additional resources like tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, retirement plans, and employee discounts. The company genuinely invests in its employees and provides tools to support both professional growth and work-life balance. Management and coworkers are generally supportive, and there is a strong team-oriented environment throughout the organization. For anyone looking for stability, solid healthcare coverage, and opportunities to grow within a large healthcare network, Hackensack Meridian Health is a great place to work. The benefits package and overall support for employees make a noticeable difference compared to many other employers in the area.

Pros

Flexible self-scheduling, good pay with shift differentials, easy job, felt like my coworkers always had my back, approachable and reasonable manager. I really liked working here and it was a great job to have during college. Great benefits for PT & FT employees, like 401K, Roth IRA, tuition assistance, health insurance, etc.

Cons

Stopped giving bonuses after the mht’s unionized. It’s good if you want to pick up many shifts and make money, but not much room for growth unless you get a nursing degree. Many students work here and then move on
